Hi, I’m Ross, a Strength and Conditioning coach in Edinburgh and co-founder of Health by Science. I have been working in the fitness industry for over a decade now and have achieved a lot during that time. My personal training style focuses on empowering my clients; I want them to feel strong and capable both physically and mentally.
I am a Strength and Conditioning coach with a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to health and performance. I have helped many people prepare for competitions of all types, but my real passion is helping everyday people achieve their health goals.
I am a qualified Strength and Conditioning coach with the UKSCA and I use the high-quality standards set by this institution when designing and delivering our in-house training.

As a UKSCA accredited strength and conditioning coach, I am passionate about helping people to perform better. That may mean different things for different people – from athletes who are hoping to increase their strength and speed, to Stroke survivors who are determined to regain strength and movement.
Whatever the end goal is, I am dedicated to developing Science-based Strength and Conditioning strategies tailored specifically to the individual so that they can reach the highest level of performance they can achieve.
At the Health by Science Academy, we believe in providing the best possible education to our staff and we welcome students, Personal Trainers, and Physiotherapists outside HBS, so that we can all become successful and empowered professionals.
We offer comprehensive workshops and courses on Personal Training and Physiotherapy which will allow graduates to pick up the necessary skills needed to succeed in these careers. With our unique approach to learning, students can enjoy interactive sessions with experienced professionals as well as a range of practical experiences.
