Something’s been holding you back. Let’s find out what… and what to do about it.
A niggle that won’t settle? A plateau after physio? Pain you’ve been working around? This is your next step. Start with a short online video call with one of our chartered physiotherapists. They’ll assess you, then book you in for a 60-minute in-person session at our Leith clinic. One price covers both.
For anyone managing pain or recurring niggles, feeling like they never quite get back to 100%.
If your body’s been holding you back, read this.
Maybe you’ve never really known what you should be doing in the gym. Maybe you’ve been going for a while but you’re not sure if you’re doing it right. Or maybe something’s been niggling and you’re not sure whether to push through or pull back.
Whatever’s brought you here, you don’t need to figure it out by yourself.
Does any of this sound familiar?
- Something niggles — a knee, a shoulder, a back — and you don’t know whether to push through or back off
- You’ve been told to “just strengthen your core” or “stretch more” and it hasn’t fixed anything
- You’re coming back after injury, surgery, pregnancy, or a long break and don’t know where to restart
- You’ve had physio — NHS or private — and either plateaued, got discharged too early, or never felt you got to 100%.
- You train regularly but not sure it’s working
That’s exactly what the Injury MOT is here for.
You’ve tried Physio. What makes this different?
What you Get: Assess. Explain. Plan.
What you get for £100
Stage 1, online: A video call with a chartered physiotherapist. They assess you, answer your questions in plain English, and book your in-person session there and then.
Stage 2, in person: A 60-minute one-to-one session at our Leith clinic (Lab 1 or Lab 2). We score six movement patterns (squat, hinge, push, pull, single-leg, carry) on a 1 to 5 scale and talk through what’s going on.
After your session: A written report of your scores and a short personalised training programme, sent by video.
One price, £100, covers both stages. No ongoing commitment, no hard sell.
Real People. Clear Progress.
Here’s what happens when you start with clarity — and structure.
Stephen came in with a shoulder injury just as he was starting a new training programme. The MOT gave him a clear baseline and Bradley built a plan that worked around the injury without stalling his progress.
Meryl had never been confident in the gym and didn’t know where to start. The MOT gave her a starting point, a plan built around her goals, and the confidence that she’s moving the right way.
Worried about pain or a recent injury?
You’re covered. Everyone starts with the online physio call, so if something’s flaring up, a chartered physiotherapist sees it first. They’ll decide the safest next step with you, whether that’s going ahead with your in-person MOT or starting with physio treatment. You’re in the right hands from the first call.
What we assess, and why it matters
Almost every niggle, flare-up and plateau shows up in one of six patterns. Grading each one is how we find the actual limiter — not a guess, not a generic ‘strengthen your core’.
This scoring happens in your in-person session at the clinic, using the notes your physiotherapist takes during the video call.
Measured on Levels 1–5
Each movement pattern is graded from Level 1 (your starting point, wherever that is) to Level 5 – what we call our “strong enough for life” standard. That’s the level that supports an active lifestyle, protects your joints, and keeps injury risk low, without needing training to become your part-time job!
You can always go further. But beyond Level 5, the extra returns rarely justify the extra time investment for most people.
Your results give us a clear baseline and a clear path forward, meaning no more guesswork.
There’s no pass or fail. Most people who come in with a niggle, an old injury, or a history of back/knee/shoulder pain land between 1 and 3, and that’s useful information, not bad news.
Meet the team behind your MOT
Your Injury MOT is led by two people who work side by side every day.
First, a chartered physiotherapist (HCPC registered) runs your online assessment, answers your questions and books your in-person session. They then pass their notes to your rehab coach.
Your rehab coach picks it up from there and delivers your 60-minute session in person at our Leith clinic, building on what the physio found. Nothing gets lost between the two, and you don’t have to repeat yourself.
This Is for You If…
- Something niggles — a knee, shoulder, back — and you don’t know whether to push through or back off
- You’ve been told to “just strengthen your core” or “stretch more” or “your glutes aren’t firing” and it hasn’t fixed anything
- You’ve had physio — NHS or private — and either plateaued, got discharged too early, or never felt you got back to 100%
- You’re coming back after injury, surgery, pregnancy or a long break and don’t know where to restart
- You train regularly but you’re not sure it’s actually working
- You lift, but you have no objective idea whether your squat, hinge or pull is actually any good
- You’re new to the gym and the internet has given you 47 conflicting answers
