Why screen your movement?

Most people only look at their body when something goes wrong. A movement screen flips that round. It gives you a clear picture of how you move now, so you can train with intent instead of guessing.

Think of it as a deposit into your health pension. The way you move, load and recover in your 30s, 40s and 50s shapes what you can do in the decades after. Small, well-directed work now compounds over time.

A screen is useful whether you are training hard, easing back in, or carrying a niggle you have learned to live with. It does not promise to fix anything on the spot. It gives you and a clinician a shared starting point and a plan you can actually follow.

What you get from screening:

  • Clarity on how you move, where you are strong, and where there is room to build
  • A plan matched to your goals and your week, not a generic template
  • A clear next step, whether that is personal training, physiotherapy, or both

Four MOTs. One starting point that fits you.

Movement screening is not one-size-fits-all. We run four assessments so you can start in the right place. Read the four below and pick the one that sounds like you. If you are not sure, book the Movement MOT. It is the general baseline and we will route you from there.

Movement MOT: your baseline

For active people without an acute injury, and for anyone returning to activity after a break. A 60-minute assessment of your core movement patterns, strength, mobility and control, with a clear plan and a defined next step. £100 · 60 minutes · in clinic

Injury MOT: returning after injury or managing pain

For people coming back after an injury, or managing ongoing pain, who want a structured way back to training. Led by our physiotherapy team, with a clear pathway matched to where you are.

Strength MOT: a baseline and a direction for strength

For people who want a structured strength baseline and clear priorities for a strength programme. Useful if you are training but not progressing, or starting strength work and want it built on solid foundations.

Performance MOT: sport and activity-specific screening

For higher-output goals. Sport-specific or activity-specific screening for people chasing a performance target, an event, or a return to competitive activity.

Find yourself in one line:

  • Training well, no acute injury, want a baseline: Movement MOT
  • Coming back after a break, feeling rusty: Movement MOT or Injury MOT
  • Carrying pain or an old injury: Injury MOT, or a free Online Physio Call first
  • Want to build real strength with direction: Strength MOT
  • Chasing a sport or performance goal: Performance MOT
  • Post-pregnancy and rebuilding: Movement MOT with Yas or Physiotherapy directly

Meet the team behind your MOT

Your Movement MOT session will be led by our specialist physio and PT team, people who work together every day to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance. So instead of just a generic screening and recommendations, you’re getting experienced eyes, honest answers, and a bespoke plan built just for you.

This Isn’t Just an Assessment — It’s a Clear Starting Point

After your MOT, you don’t leave with guesswork.

You leave with a clear, personalised training structure and a defined next step — whether that’s Physiotherapy, Personal Training, or both.

Included after your MOT:

• A personalised programme based on your assessment
• A results and implementation call with your PT
• Clear progression priorities
• Guidance on how to track and adjust your training

If you’d like ongoing accountability and optimisation, we’ll explain how our online coaching works on your follow-up call.

The goal is momentum — not perfection.

This Is for You If…

  • You want to feel strong and capable again
  • You’re time-poor and need a plan that fits real life
  • You’re training — but something feels off
  • You’ve lost confidence after pain or injury
  • You want a clear standard (Levels 1–15) and a route to improve

We’ll meet you where you are — and build from there.
