Meet Rosa: Your Dedicated Women's Health Physiotherapy Specialist

Hello! My name is Rosa, and I am passionate about helping new mothers navigate the journey of postnatal recovery and wellness. Here’s a snapshot of me pushing through the final stretch of the Aberfeldy Half Iron Man. I understand the unique physical challenges that come after childbirth, and my goal is to support moms in regaining strength and confidence through tailored exercises and movement.

My enthusiasm for the science of movement led me to study an MSc in Physiotherapy, graduating with distinction. Since then, I have specialized in Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, focusing on the specific needs of postnatal women. I gained invaluable experience as a senior MSK physiotherapist in the NHS in Manchester, and I currently work as an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health in NHS Lothian. At Health by Science, I bring this wealth of knowledge and expertise to support my clients’ postnatal health journeys.

In addition, I am currently undergoing my Mummy MOT certification, a specialist postnatal assessment that helps mothers address any physical issues resulting from pregnancy and childbirth.

To further enhance my skills, I have completed additional courses from the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine. I am also actively involved with a research team run by Keele University that explores pain science and activity pacing. I am excited to collaborate with you on your journey to optimal health and well-being, using my expertise and experience every step of the way.
